Ryman Shafer Frizzell, or Mr. Ryman, as he's affectionately called by family, was born in Nashville, TN, and raised in the world of country music. He may only be 9, but he's been playing music his whole life, picking up his first guitar at 10 months old, well, his first uke, but that uke was all guitar to Ryman.
Just as the country song says, "My name's a reminder of a blues man that's already gone," Ryman bears the namesake of two late Hall of Fame, country music legends. As a third generation Frizzell, he's the great nephew of country star, Lefty Frizzell, and the Godson of mega hit singer/songwriter, Whitey Shafer and his wife Tracy.
Lefty Frizell
Frizzell is known as one of the most influential country music vocal stylists of all time.

Ryman went from singing and playing guitar with his parents around the house to gracing the stage with the "who's who" of country music around Nashville.
