13 year old, Kash Whitley Mellons, has been playing music for as long as he can remember. He comes by it naturally, being the son of fiddle player, Kristy Jo Mellons (Luke Bryon,) and 90's country star Ken Mellons.

When Ken and Kristy found out they were expecting, they agreed that they would not push music on their child, knowing full well the ups and downs of the music industry. Ken, a 90's, country, hitmaker, and Kristy, a touring fiddle player, had experienced both the joy, and the heartache, that comes from making music. However, they would not be able to keep little Kash from the music. it seems he came out of the womb beating a drum and singing George Jones.
At two and a half, Kash Whitley Mellons, made his singing debut on stage quite unexpectedly. Kash's older brother, Kade, lifted him up on the stage, while his dad was performing his biggest hit, 'Jukebox Junkie.' As Ken neeled to place the mic in front of his dancing toddler, Kash finished the chorus without missing a beat, surprising his parents, and the audience.
Before three years of age Kash would be playing a drum set, holding steady rhythm on the snare, and kick, and later picking up the acoustic, electric and bass guitar.
As Kash grew, his appetite for music equally grew with him, picking up any instrument he could get his hands on, from a mouth harp to a trumpet. He also began playing gigs with his parents, in church, on the road and around town, especially at his favorite spot, The Troubadour in Music Valley, Nashville, TN.
Growing up surrounded by a musical family, in a musical town, has shaped Kash's genteel sense of style. He designs his own wardrobe, throwing in his dad's retro music note boots, flared pants (a page taken from Marty Stuart's book of fashion), and an ascot (a wink to those Traditional Troubadours that have come before him.)
Most day's, you'll find Kash ditching his school backpack for his guitar, to pick for a few hours (or at least until he has to do his homework.) It's not easy balancing the demands of a 6th grader, with a Honky Tonk Life Style. Kash's Honky Tonk Heroes may range from Elvis to Waylon, but Kash gives all the credit to God. Kash's parents know if he keeps his faith, he will never stray from the right path, something the family puts first above all else.
